Role Overview:
The Lead Manager – Demand & Supply owns end-to-end demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, and the cross-functional coordination required to deliver on-time, in-full (OTIF) supply and first-time-right commercial readiness for new launches. The role partners closely with Sales/BD, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Procurement, RA, and external partners - key B2B customers) to ensure accurate forecasting, optimized inventory, efficient capacity utilization, and compliant supply for domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities
A. Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Lead monthly/quarterly demand cycles with Sales, Marketing, BD, and Key Account teams.
• Build statistical forecasts; analyse historical trends, seasonality, promotions, and customer signals.
• Maintain SKU-level rolling forecasts for all formulations and markets (domestic + export).
• Track and improve Forecast Accuracy (FA) and Forecast Bias with corrective action plans. B. S&OP Leadership
• Run the monthly S&OP process (Demand Review → Supply Review → Executive Review), aligning Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Publish S&OP dashboards on demand–supply gaps, risks, and mitigations, drive decisions on capacity augmentation, outsourcing, alternate vendors, or prioritization.
• Ensure sign-offs and accountability for plans ssand follow through on actions.
C. Product Launch Readiness (Supply Enablement)
• For NPIs/launches driven by BD/R&D, lead the supply-readiness workstream: capacity reservation, RM/PM readiness, packaging/artwork timelines, and production slotting.
• Integrate tech transfer/validation batch plans and regulatory milestones into supply plans; track via structured Gantt/PM trackers.
• Ensure first-time-right commercial supply with defined ramp-up curves and contingency options.
D. Cross-Functional & Partner (Alliance) Collaboration
• Act as the operational SPOC linking Commercial, Operations, QA/QC, RA, Packaging Dev, and SCM.
• Partner with BD/Key Accounts to evaluate demand scenarios, supply commits, and contract terms impacting planning.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs & Quality for market release requirements (e.g., US/EU/ROW filings, CoA, stability needs).
E. Systems, Reporting & Compliance
• Maintain planning data and master-data integrity in working knowledge of SAP and excellent in Excel.
• Drive CI initiatives (bias reduction, lead-time compression, MOQ optimization, parameter hygiene).
