Are you an experienced Monitoring and Observability Specialist looking for an exciting 12-month contract in Brisbane? We are seeking a senior technical specialist to lead monitoring, observability, logging, and operational visibility initiatives across a modernising digital infrastructure environment. In this role, you will define future-state strategies, establish governance models, and deliver tactical uplift solutions that enhance service resilience, proactive incident response, and overall visibility across complex systems.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct enterprise-wide assessments of current monitoring, observability, logging, and event management capabilities.
- Develop future-state strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks for monitoring, logging, and AIOps capabilities.
- Design and implement monitoring dashboards, reporting tools, and service health visualisation solutions.
- Improve alert quality, event correlation, signal management, and operational workflows to minimise service disruptions.
- Lead tactical uplift initiatives and collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, and service management teams to deliver fit-for-purpose operational support models.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in enterprise monitoring, observability, logging, infrastructure operations, or related technical disciplines.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing enterprise monitoring, observability, or operational visibility strategies within large, complex IT environments.
- Hands-on expertise designing, configuring, and optimising enterprise monitoring, centralised logging, SIEM, and cloud monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch).
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional stakeholder workshops, defining operating models, and producing high-quality strategy, standards, and governance documentation.
