About the Role
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales in domestic and export markets, achieving product and region-specific targets, and developing strategies for market expansion across diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement
- Implement strategic sales plans to meet product-wise and segment-wise goals.
- Recommend modifications to the 7Ps based on evolving market trends.
- Drive market penetration across new verticals such as IDEF, Medical, FIE, Auto Servicing, and Consumer Retail.
2. Key Account Management & Business Development
- Manage VIP and corporate clients for revenue growth.
- Collaborate with KAMs on tenders, quotations, and strategic deals.
- Direct Account Managers and BDEs while formulating Market Strategy Plans (MSPs).
3. CRM & Sales Process Management
- Implement and monitor CRM and SLMS systems for efficient lead tracking.
- Supervise and review daily field activities of KAMs and BDEs.
- Ensure accurate and timely sales data reporting.
4. Sales Planning & Budgeting
- Develop annual budgets including forecasts, expenses, and manpower planning.
- Submit monthly product-wise sales forecasts and manage MSLs for key products.
5. Market Development & PR Activities
- Organize exhibitions, dealer meets, and trade events.
- Conduct seminars and training sessions for partners and end-users.
- Drive PR initiatives to enhance brand positioning.
6. Product & Channel Management
- Lead new product launches and monitor sales performance.
- Drive upselling opportunities and gather customer feedback.
- Evaluate and onboard new distributors/channel partners.
7. Sales Monitoring & Reporting
- Analyze MIS reports, monitor sales trends, and ensure target achievement.
- Collect and report customer feedback on SWOT and 4Ps for market insights.
8. Training & Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales executives.
- Assign territories, review performance, and provide regular coaching.
- Develop SOPs, sales tools, and manuals for standardization.
9. Customer Service & Satisfaction
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure brand-consistent representation during client interactions.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing (MBA preferred)
- Experience: 5–15 years in Retail/B2B Sales with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Skills: Strategic thinking, CRM proficiency, analytical decision-making
