Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant and Shipping Coordinator - Temporary Assignment - St. John's, NL - Healthcare
In this role, your primary focus will be supporting the team with prescription packaging and preparation to free-up team members to support shipping duties. The intention is that you would also eventually be trained on shipping duties as well, so you can develop a variety of skills and help in various areas of the pharmacy. Your day-to-day will include:
Prescription Packaging: Accurately package prescriptions (filling, labeling)
Inventory Retrieval: Retrieve specific items from shelving or frig as needed for orders.
Data Entry: Enter lot numbers and expiry dates with high precision into Kroll (training can be provided if you are new to the system)
Labeling & Shipping Prep: Label prescriptions and assist in boxing shipments (including packing foam coolers).
Limited Customer Service: Assist with in-person pickups on occasion.
Future Duties: If you demonstrate strong performance, you may be trained to assist with broader shipping duties.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who learns quickly and pays strict attention to detail.
Pharmacy Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting or familiarity with Kroll software will set you up for immediate success.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical in prescription fulfillment; you must be meticulous with numbers and labels.
Communication: Functional English communication skills are required.
Reliability: Must be able to work independently after training and commit to the Monday-Friday schedule and temporary assignment.
Compliance: Must be legally eligible to work full-time hours in Canada, able to provide a minimum of one supervisory reference (ideally two), complete a criminal background check, sign an NDA and complete H&S training (online) - we will support you throughout this process
