Key Responsibilities
Circuit Design: Design and simulate power stages including AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC converters.
Component Selection: Select and characterize power semiconductors (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC, GaN), inductors, and capacitors.
PCB Design: Create high-power PCB layouts with a focus on signal integrity, thermal management, and EMI/EMC compliance.
Control Systems: Develop and implement control algorithms for power conversion using microcontrollers or DSPs.
Testing & Validation: Perform hands-on debugging, thermal testing, and efficiency measurements in a lab environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Tools: Proficiency in simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or PLECS.
Hardware: Strong experience with PCB design software (Altium, Eagle, or KiCad).
Knowledge: Deep understanding of switching topologies (Buck, Boost, Flyback, Resonant converters).
Analytical: Ability to perform worst-case analysis and thermal simulations.
