We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer / Sr. Engineer to join our Project Management team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the order management process from contract review to project completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Responsibilities:- Review and understand contract and project documents to ensure all requirements are captured.
- Initiate Kick-off Meetings and meticulously capture actions for project requirements.
- Manage Sale Order Booking in SAP and the Release of Purchase Requests.
- Coordinate effectively with customers, internal functions, and sub-suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Perform cost controlling and forecasting to maintain project profitability.
- Ensure project completion within deadlines with zero Liquidated Damages (LD) deductions.
- Prepare monthly reports, document lessons learned, and implement corrective actions.
- Demonstrate knowledge in ISO standards and effectively handle audits.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and ensure successful outcomes.
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed in a timely manner.
- Develop detailed project plans to track progress and ensure all milestones are met.
- Ensure adequate submission and revision of all project documentation requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in the Pump Industry, preferably from an on-site location.
- Good working knowledge at an advanced level of MS Office, MS Project, and SAP - SD Module.
- Knowledge in contract review, costing, cost control, and order management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Task-oriented with a strong problem-solving approach.
