- Perform end-to-end customer due diligence (KYC) checks for new client onboarding, regular periodic reviews, and trigger reviews.
- Review and analyse customer account documentation for Corporate and Private Banking clients in compliance with local HKMA regulations and global bank policies.
- Review KYC sanctions and AML screening results to identify potential hits, escalating confirmed cases to relevant parties and the AML Committee for investigation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to front-office business desks and counterparties on KYC/CDD requirements.
- Formulate, update, and review internal policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding AML/CTF and client due diligence.
- Support system enhancement projects and ad-hoc operational tasks assigned by management to continuously improve KYC process efficiency.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in customer account documentation, KYC, or AML compliance within Corporate Banking or Private Banking.
- Well-versed in Hong Kong Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulatory requirements, HKMA guidelines, and local compliance standards.
- Professional qualifications such as ECF on Compliance/AML, ACAMS, or equivalent AML/CFT certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and interact effectively with business desks.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) are required.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing.
