Responsibilities
Business Analysis Leadership: Lead and conduct high-level business analysis aligning with the OPS Unified Project Management Methodology and Enterprise Architecture Gating Processes.
Requirements & Modeling: Execute comprehensive business modeling, use case modeling, and both conceptual and logical data modeling. Define business rules and non-functional requirements for large-scale IT initiatives.
System Modernization: Support data migration from legacy systems to new provincial platforms and provide impact analysis for system upgrades and vendor release enhancements.
Problem Resolution: Deliver expert-level troubleshooting for complex infrastructure and application issues. Analyze production logs and defects to provide proactive mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management: Facilitate working groups with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess current business problems and translate them into technical specifications for development and QA teams.
Clinical Knowledge: Apply deep understanding of clinical, inspections, and licensing data to support the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and associated business processes.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all deliverables conform to AODA, the Ontario Design System (ODS), and personal health information protection (PHIPA) requirements.
Operational Support: Develop and maintain "Run Books," deployment guides, and training materials to ensure the continuous support of infrastructure and software solutions.
Qualifications
Healthcare Expertise: 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, supporting systems like EMRs, HIS, Clinical Assessment tools, and OHRS-compliant reporting.
BA Mastery: Extensive experience in I&IT business analysis lead services, including business case development, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Cloud-based technologies, data de-identification best practices, and MS Office products.
Process Re-engineering: Proven ability to apply re-engineering concepts to promote alternative, cost-effective service delivery approaches.
Data Skills: Ability to substantiate analysis to fix data issues and provide queries or scripts to assist in debugging data discrepancies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation and facilitation skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences clearly.
