Position Title: Senior Privacy Officer
Hourly Rate: $74 p/h
Contract Duration: 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Location: Logan 4114
Flexibility: Hybrid / Primary WFH (In-office approx. 1–4 days per month)
Reporting To: Principal Privacy Advisor
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Privacy Officer for a 3-month contract (with extension potential). Working alongside the Principal Privacy Advisor, this role is primarily focused on conducting, reviewing, and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) across key operational and branch projects.
Enjoy high working flexibility with a primary work-from-home setup, requiring only 1–2 days in the Logan office per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Privacy Impact Assessments: Lead the end-to-end delivery and review of complex PIAs to ensure business initiatives comply with privacy legislation.
- Risk Advisory: Provide practical, risk-informed privacy advice to project teams to mitigate privacy risks early in project lifecycles.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders to gather requirements, explain regulatory risks, and deliver actionable solutions.
What We Are Looking For
- PIA Expertise: Demonstrated track record of conducting and reviewing complex Privacy Impact Assessments (public sector or local government experience highly regarded).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of privacy legislation, risk frameworks, and administrative law principles.
- Communication: Ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear, concise, and defensible advisory reports.
