Are you a skilled Social Worker looking for a role that offers the perfect balance between high-level clinical practice and genuine work-life flexibility?
We are currently seeking an experienced and resilient Social Worker to join a well-established, supportive team in Dundee. This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in complex casework, particularly involving Adult Support and Protection (ASP) and long-term care planning.
Benefits of our brilliant rewards package include:
... - Flexible Hours: Control your work hours and choose assignments that fit your lifestyle.
- Competitive Pay Rates: We offer highly competitive remuneration for each placement.
- Professional Development: Opportunities to work across various departments, enhancing your skills and broadening your expertise.
- Free training: Keep up to date with your Continuous Professional Development.
- Pension Scheme: Contributory pension.
- Referral Bonus: Receive £300 in vouchers (subject to Ts and Cs).
- Weekly payroll: Randstad runs a twice weekly payroll, enabling you to control your finances by receiving weekly pay.
- Dedicated Support: Our team is here to assist you at every step, from onboarding through the entirety of your placement. We can even help with sourcing accommodation and travel, if required.
The Role
You will be working within a large, multidisciplinary team focusing on Adult Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. This isn't just "care management"; we need a practitioner who can navigate the complexities of the Mental Health Act (MHA) and the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legislative Expertise: Determining when to initiate Guardianship applications vs. when to utilize MHA interventions.
- Protection: Taking a lead role in ASP investigations and risk management.
- Complex Caseloads: Managing a diverse portfolio involving Learning Disabilities and Mental Health challenges.
- Advocacy: Ensuring the rights of service users are at the forefront of every decision.
What's in it for you?
- True Hybrid Working: The service promotes "smart scheduling." By grouping your visits back-to-back, you are encouraged to work from home for the remainder of the week to complete reports and admin.
- Office Culture: While flexible, the team values a physical presence at least once a week to maintain their famous "supportive atmosphere."
- No Parking Stress: Dedicated parking is available at both primary office locations.
- Career Growth: While we aren't specifically looking for a qualified MHO (Mental Health Officer) for this post, we highly value that skillset. If you are an MHO or looking to work towards it, this team provides the perfect environment to utilise those skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Current SSSC registration as a social worker.
This could be the perfect position in which to realise your career goals.
