Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Python) with a minimum of 3.5 years of professional backend development experience to join our remote engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems, APIs, and microservices in an asynchronous, remote-first work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code to build scalable backend systems.
API Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and web services.
System Optimization: Refactor existing codebases, optimize performance, and troubleshoot production issues.
Database Management: Work with relational and non-relational databases, ORMs, and query optimization.
Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and stability.
Remote Collaboration: Communicate effectively across time zones with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience using Python.
Frameworks: Solid experience with standard backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
Databases: Proficiency with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis) and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).
System Design: Good understanding of software architecture, REST API design, and asynchronous programming.
DevOps Basics: Experience with Git, Docker, and modern CI/CD tools.
Remote Skills: Proven ability to work autonomously, manage priorities independently, and communicate clearly in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Familiarity with distributed systems and message brokers (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
