Job Description: Area Sales Manager – KarnatakaRole Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Individual Contributor
Role Objective
Your primary goal is to drive secondary and tertiary sales through an elite network of retail dealers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Management & Expansion
Oversee and manage the existing dealer network to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Identify and appoint new premium dealers in untapped high-potential territories.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
Implement retail schemes and trade promotions to boost "off-the-shelf" sales.
Monitor dealer inventory levels to ensure a healthy stock-to-sales ratio and prevent stock-outs of fast-moving SKUs.
Conduct regular "Counter-Staff Training" to ensure dealer sales teams are experts in USP.
3. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Track competitor activities regarding pricing, new launches, and dealer incentives
Manage the timely collection of payments and maintain a clean accounts receivable (AR) record.
4. Brand Advocacy
Organize local architect and interior designer (A&ID) meets at dealer showrooms to drive walk-ins.
Represent at regional trade exhibitions and luxury lifestyle events.
Candidate Profile
Experience: Experience in Retail Sales within the Building Materials industry (Bath-ware, Tiles, Paints, or Luxury Home Decor).
Education: MBA in Sales/Marketing or a Bachelor’s degree with a stellar track record.
Geographical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Karnataka market and a pre-existing network of premium sanitaryware dealers.
Competencies: * Strong negotiation skills with a focus on "Value Selling" rather than "Discount Selling."
High level of professional grooming and communication (fluency in English and Hindi).
Ability to travel extensively across the state (up to 60-70% travel).
