international legal counsel procurement at RandstadBudapest (GCC), hybrid, full-time
how you will contribute
As international legal counsel focused on procurement, you are:
- focussing on reviewing supplier contracts and acting as the focal point and primary legal business partner for global procurement on supplier contracting (IT/non-IT)
- working with the global legal team to provide a broad range of legal advice across various areas of law
- supporting projects for global legal, including the introduction of artificial intelligence and other technologies to support contract reviews, edits and negotiations
- standardizing workflows and driving legal efficiency by maintaining and updating global supplier contract templates, contributing to the development of an internal knowledge warehouse and contract playbooks.
- raising the overall awareness and profile of the Randstad global legal team’s role in supporting business strategies and objectives
- giving objective and accurate legal advice and taking decisions rooted in your own professionalism, free from the undue influence of other people and showing tenacity, integrity and fairness in dealing with others
your typical day includes
- you are a key point of contact for legal advice and contracting support for certain global departments, including global procurement, global IT, global marketing, global human resources and global insurance
- you are the first point of contact for legal advice for certain countries
- you will be working on cross-functional projects with other global departments, markets, global businesses and with all levels in the organization
your background
- law degree or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience, preferably at a reputable law firm or multinational company
- excellent working knowledge in contract law is a ‘must have’; an additional working knowledge in other areas of law (e.g. EU law, intellectual property law or IT law) a ‘nice to have’
- good English language and contract drafting skills
- European resident

- able to work independently, give objective and accurate legal advice and take decisions from your own professionalism
- collaborative team player with solid stakeholder engagement skills
- client focus: supporting your team members, other global departments and specific countries
- able to grasp the essence of complex issues
- ability to (quickly learn to) use AI and new technologies to improve efficiency in contracting processes
- affinity with working in international environment and partnering with the Randstad business at large
- clear focus on finding solutions when faced with challenges
key relationships
As international legal counsel focused on procurement, you are part of the global legal team, currently consisting of 22 people. This is a very diverse team in terms of nationalities, age and background and is characterized by an open and friendly atmosphere. You will report to the director global legal - tech & procurement (Martin Woodward).
Working in the tech & procurement section within global legal means frequent interaction with several other departments within Randstad global, but also connecting with lawyers in markets and global businesses and external counsel.
