     Position: Plant Safety HeadLocation: Chennai  Job Description:§ Review, Control & report plant safety performance in line with business commitments. § Delegating the job requirements optimally down the line and facilitating their orientation and train to meet the Business goals. § Preparing and enforcing & reviewing policies in coordination with Loss Prevention team to establish a culture of health and safety. § Audit & full fill the Safety Statutory legal compliance as per Legal matrix § Develop & Manage emergency procedures § Conduct risk assessment based safety audit and compliance § Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the protocols, risk assessment based safety audit and compliance § Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes & countermeasures follow up § Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures § coordination of safety promotional activities (safety campaign, mock drill, safety committee meeting. § ISO 45001 Internal & External audit coordination § Develop new system, procedures & reviewing policies in coordination with LP team to ensure uniform standards across the plant § Quarterly HMC guide line audit at shop floor and management reporting. § Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics § Educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis – Develop subordinates to upgrade their knowledge. § Conducting Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions § Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes § Promote safety campaigns & activities across the plant to ensure zero incident. § Communicate safety performance & Safety Reports to Loss Prevention – Safety Observations, Audit, Critical observations Educational Qualification:Bachelor/Masters in Engineering/Industrial safety Engineering Diploma in Industrial Safety by RLA (Regional Labor Institute) Functional Knowledge:Maintenance and Process knowledge/ Cutting edge technologies / Safety Management / Incident prevention techniques / ISO 45001 Required Skills:Analytical Skill, Problem Solving, Interpersonal skills and Managerial Skill (Planning, Organizing, Scheduling, Controlling, Budgeting)
