Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Blueprinting: Translate strategic decision records and 12–18 month roadmaps into short-term, executable delivery plans and sprint schedules.
Cloud Migration Leadership: Lead and oversee the architectural migration of legacy on-premise applications to modern cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
Delivery Oversight & Validation: Validate that solution designs, configuration artifacts, and quality control results meet business expectations and technical standards at key release checkpoints.
Service Provider & Vendor Management: Review third-party statements of work, evaluate proposals, and provide technical guidance to vendor teams to ensure alignment with delivery timelines and performance metrics.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement: Lead technical discussions with vendors, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to resolve development issues, manage changes, and align solution expectations.
Integration & Infrastructure Engineering: Oversee application and infrastructure integration points across diverse systems, ensuring effective monitoring, automation, and system capacity planning.
Risk Triage & Release Governance: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical delivery risks, supporting quarterly production releases and release management schedules.
Agile & DevOps Leadership: Drive the adoption of modern delivery practices (DevOps, Agile, Lean) utilizing tools like JIRA and Confluence to manage backlogs and release pipelines.
Qualifications
Initiative Delivery Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience contributing to the success of midsize-to-large technology initiatives with high complexity and business criticality (Strictly Required).
Cloud Migration Depth: 10+ years of hands-on experience migrating legacy on-premise applications to cloud platforms (Strictly Required).
Vendor & Stakeholder Facilitation: Proven comfort and experience leading technical discussions, negotiating deliverables, and managing relationships with external vendors and business stakeholders (Strictly Required).
Agile & DevOps Tooling: Expertise in applying Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and using tools such as JIRA and Confluence for lifecycle management.
Integration & Architecture Knowledge: Strong background in application integration principles, infrastructure engineering (compute, storage, networking), and release governance frameworks.
Desirable Assets:
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF Enterprise Architecture, PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or Agile certifications (ACP/CSPO).
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration.
