Senior Accounting Manager / Accounting Manager – Corporate Finance■ Company OverviewOur client is a prominent global food service and retail organisation with a broad operational presence across Japan. Combining a proven business model with consistent market leadership, the company continues to drive innovation while maintaining a robust, stable growth foundation. ■ The OpportunityThis senior role leads internal and external financial reporting under both Japanese GAAP and US GAAP, while ensuring strict adherence to domestic tax regulations. Serving as a key financial subject matter expert, the successful candidate will advise executive leaders, direct strategic cross-functional initiatives, and foster team development. ■ What the Role Offers・ Strategic visibility through direct collaboration with the CFO, senior executives, and operational leaders.・ Opportunity to lead enterprise-wide financial transformations that impact both corporate headquarters and field operations.・ Exposure to complex, international financial environments within an agile, industry-leading consumer brand.・ Clear ownership over key finance projects and long-term talent development within the organisation.■ Key Responsibilities・ Oversee accurate and timely quarterly/annual statutory disclosures and internal management reporting in accordance with J-GAAP and US GAAP.・ Direct discussions on complex, highly judgmental accounting issues and serve as the lead interface for external audit partners.・ Coordinate closely with global corporate counterparts to resolve international accounting topics and harmonize financial practices.・ Lead cross-functional corporate projects as a project manager, including system implementations, regulatory accounting changes, and process redesigns (BPR/BPO).・ Provide high-level financial analysis and strategic advisory to the CFO and executive management to guide business decision-making.・ Review corporate tax filings, deliver internal tax advice, and maintain collaborative relationships with tax authorities and advisory partners.・ Partner with internal finance units—including FP&A and operational controllers—to drive financial governance across corporate and field channels.・ Coach, mentor, and manage team members to maximize potential, build leadership capability, and support long-term career growth.#LI-Hybrid
求められる経験
■ Required Experience and Skills
・ Certified Public Accountant (JPA) qualification (US CPA will be considered if supported by strong statutory reporting and audit experience in listed companies).
・ Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year university.
・ Proven track record of managing complex, cross-departmental or enterprise-wide projects.
・ High-level Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 or native equivalent) suitable for executive discussions, legal compliance, and technical negotiations.
・ Superior interpersonal and alignment skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
・ Strong leadership and people management skills focused on talent development and coaching.
・ Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn the business operational framework.
■ Preferred Qualifications
・ 5 to 10 years of audit or financial advisory experience within a Big 4 accounting firm.
・ Business-level English proficiency (written and spoken) for corporate reporting and global stakeholder communication.
