about the jobThe Internal Recruitment Partner is responsible for managing the internal hiring lifecycle (A-E Grade). This involves partnering with Hiring Managers to define job briefs, screening internal applicants and managing the offer stage to ensure a seamless experience for internal candidates.
what you will doVacancy Intake & Strategy
- Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with Hiring Managers to conduct Recruitment Strategy Meetings to fully understand the hiring brief, team structure, and role requirements.
- Advisory: Provide relevant hiring data (ie, job advert, banding, minimum requirements etc) to advise Hiring Managers and shape an effective internal recruitment strategy.
- Attraction: Draft and publish clear, engaging internal job advertisements based on the agreed briefing.
Candidate Screening & Shortlisting
- Application Review: Conduct timely and consistent screening of internal applications to assess candidate suitability against the core job requirements.
- Candidate Engagement: Manage initial candidate outreach to confirm receipt of their application, assess basic suitability, and outline the next steps in the recruitment process.
- Inclusive Mobility Support: Act as an advocate for internal mobility by ensuring that candidates who are displaced, under notice, or have disclosed a disability are appropriately supported, meet minimum requirements, and are clearly highlighted to Hiring Managers.
Interview Management & Feedback
- Outcome Tracking: Liaise with Hiring Managers promptly following interviews to capture outcomes and gather constructive feedback.
- Feedback Delivery: Deliver sensitive and timely feedback to unsuccessful candidates, ensuring a positive and transparent internal candidate experience.
Offer Management
- Offer Facilitation: Manage the end-to-end offer process, partnering with Hiring Managers to ensure offers are accurately generated and approved including following the ‘offer over band process’ as/when required.
- Candidate Consultation: Conduct check-ins with successful candidates to verbally extend or confirm the offer, ensuring all key employment details (such as salary, working pattern, and location) are clearly communicated and agreed upon.
- Query Resolution & Handover: Manage any candidate queries, navigate offer declines with the Hiring Manager, and ensure a smooth handover of finalised details to the TA and Offer Management team.
Technical Skills & Systems Used:
- Core Systems: Workday, MS Office and SNOW
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently partner with Hiring Managers, conduct Recruitment Strategy Meetings, and guide internal candidates through the hiring process.
- System Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Workday as well as everyday communication tools like MS Outlook and MS Teams.
- Analytical & Research Abilities: The capability to gather, analyse, and present hiring data (such as recent hires and salaries).
- Time Management & Organisation: Ability to work efficiently to meet strict SLAs, such as reviewing applications daily, contacting candidates within 48 hours, and reviewing twice-daily vacancy reports.
- Attention to Detail & Administration: High accuracy when handling offer documentation, updating candidate statuses, and verbally confirming specific contract details (e.g., job family, working pattern, salary, and location).
- Empathy & Inclusive Practices: A strong understanding of internal mobility nuances, specifically the ability to appropriately flag and support candidates who are displaced, at risk, or have disclosed a disability to ensure they meet minimum requirements.
