Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Leader for a 11 month contract in Toronto.

Responsibilities
· Provide project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high-risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.
· Ensure project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with OPS project management methodologies and frameworks.
· Lead organizational development, strategy development, business planning, and funding requests.
· Gather and develop requirements in order to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan.
· Monitor and forecast project costs and provide reporting and input to ensure targets are met
· Develop and manage project schedules, deliverables, and scope
· Promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies
· Direct project teams to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time and adhere to standards
· Coordinate and monitor project processes, and develop/communicate guidelines and procedures
· Source, select and on-boards team members in various disciplines, clarify roles and responsibilities and set task/deliverable/performance expectations for resources that are both OPS unionized employees as well as fee for service (FFS) consultants.
· Resolve resourcing and inter-personal conflicts, negotiates changes to resourcing, ensures knowledge is shared among team members such as project objectives and deliverables are met.
· Develop complex project budgets based on multiple funding channels and cross dependencies.
· Identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed.
· Articulate and prioritize issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers.
· Establish and participate in steering committee and stakeholder forums
· Provide, project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels.
· Use appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects – concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-out.
· Promote OPS I&IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality, adherence to standard methodology and the control of the use of I&IT resources.
Qualifications
Must Have:
• Extensive end to end project experience
• Experience with multiple million / multi year projects
• Extensive experience with stakeholder management / high complexity projects
• Strong Communication skills - verbal / written
• Strong leadership/passion to drive projects.
• Driven and delivery oriented
• Strong Business PM exp - very strong stakeholder management
• Experience in formulating and determining business and technical requirements, business problems, business objectives, product visions, goals and outcomes.
• Exp with status reports and working with senior leadership and non-technical audience.
• Agile Knowledge and framework / Waterfall.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams and other tools that support project management, collaboration and development of processes and plans
• Working knowledge of DevOps (Azure)
• Prior experience with cloud related project implementations.
Nice to Have:
• Prior OPS / Public Sector experience would be an asset.
