Responsibilities
Maximo Core Engineering: Develop, configure, upgrade, test, and implement software components within IBM Maximo MAS, Maximo Mobile, and legacy Maximo 7.6.x environments.
Customization & Scripting: Write complex custom logic, handlers, and rules utilizing Maximo Business Objects (MBOs), Web Beans (Java), and Automation Scripts via Jython or Python.
Enterprise-Level Integration: Architect and build secure, bidirectional integrations between Maximo and third-party platforms (SAP, Salesforce, GIS) utilizing Web Services, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend database queries.
Spatial & GIS Integration: Lead Maximo Spatial configurations and ArcGIS integrations to embed geospatial intelligence into core asset management workflows.
Reporting & Analytics: Design and maintain intricate IBM BIRT reports, SQL/PL-SQL procedures, and BI data dashboards within the Maximo framework.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Drive rigorous quality control processes by authoring test plans, managing unit testing in development environments, tracking defects, and preparing scenarios for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Data Migration & Strategy: Provide expert technical guidance on legacy data conversions, data mapping matrices, and validation rules to safely load multi-tier divisional data.
Collaborative Leadership: Align with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and technical staff to map dependencies, resolve complex architecture challenges, and evaluate emerging technology trends for corporate acquisition.
Qualifications
Overall Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of demonstrable IT experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have supported municipal government environments.
Maximo Seniority: 10+ years of hands-on experience in Maximo application configuration, modernization, upgrades, and system design.
Programming & Tooling: Proficient in Java, Python, Jython, and SQL/PL-SQL alongside modern development environments like Eclipse or Visual Studio.NET and version control systems (Git).
Integration Protocols: Comprehensive knowledge of web service layers including REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and relational database technologies.
Analytical Frameworks: Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities with a proven track record of handling defect tracking and dependency mapping inside massive enterprise programs.
