Responsibilities
- Data Integration & Alignment: Ensure seamless synchronization between provincial registries and immunization data using the Cloverleaf integration suite and IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Messaging & Streaming: Architect and support distributed messaging solutions using Kafka for real-time streaming data exchange.
- Identity Management: Work extensively with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (Identity Hub) to manage and reconcile complex client identifiers.
- Middleware Management: Oversee the administration and monitoring of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments.
- Containerization: Support modern development workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Clinical Workflow Analysis: Apply deep knowledge of immunization business processes within pharmacies and hospitals to technical design and troubleshooting.
- Remediation & Troubleshooting: Lead the root-cause analysis and remediation of complex integration failures and data mismatches.
- Collaboration: Partner with clinicians, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate current-state analysis into concise, actionable technical deliverables.
Qualifications
- Integration Mastery: 5+ years of practical experience with HL7 (v2, FHIR) messaging and the Cloverleaf integration suite.
- ETL & Data Tools: 5+ years of experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and SQL programming in relational databases.
- Distributed Systems: 5+ years of experience with streaming data solutions, specifically Kafka.
- Identity Hub Expertise: Proven experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Identity Hub (formerly Initiate).
- Technical Breadth: Strong proficiency in IBM WebSphere (WAS), container-based development, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Domain Context: Extensive knowledge of immunization workflows and past experience with jurisdictional public health programs.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of privacy legislation, including PHIPA, FIPPA, and HPPA, and their impact on data exchange.
