Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Provide high-level advice on testing strategies, selection of automated tools, and resource identification for both GUI and non-GUI environments.
- Test Development: Create comprehensive test plans, manual test scripts, and automated test cases tailored to 3/N-tier web applications.
- Execution: Perform functional, non-functional, regression, and system integration testing (SIT) within Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Accessibility Testing: Conduct rigorous accessibility audits to ensure WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance, utilizing screen readers (JAWS) and Compliance Sheriff tools.
- Data Validation: Use SQL to profile and test data stored in Oracle and SQL Server databases, as well as XML, JSON, and CSV file formats.
- Reporting: Analyze and test business intelligence reports, data warehouses, and data marts, ensuring data integrity across the presentation layer.
- Defect Management: Track and report defects using industry-standard tools such as HP Quality Center (HPQC) and Bugzilla.
Qualifications
- QA Foundations: Extensive experience in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in SQL, XML, and Databases; experience testing .NET frameworks (4.0+), ASP.NET, MVC, and WCF.
- Automation Tools: Demonstrated experience with HP Quality Center and Quick Test Pro (QTP/UFT) v10.0.
- Accessibility Expertise: Proven track record in testing for WCAG AA compliance using JAWS screen readers.
- Platform Experience: Experience testing environments built on 3/N-tier web applications using Oracle or SQL Server; knowledge of MS Dynamics is an asset.
- Reporting & BI: Experience analyzing data extracts and testing presentation-layer business intelligence reports.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a multi-team environment.
