Responsibilities
Architecture & Design: Define technical standards and onboarding processes for integrating DVS with multiple client institutions.
Identity Verification: Lead the integration of enterprise-level verification services (e.g., Interac, IDVerse) and video verification systems into public-facing applications.
SSO & Federation: Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, identity federations, and multi-factor authentication systems using Okta and Interac.
Technical Leadership: Act as the primary liaison between SMEs, vendors, and client institutions to facilitate requirements gathering and address technical roadblocks.
Compliance & Security: Ensure all solutions comply with the Government of Ontario's software development life cycle (SDLC), Privacy, Security, and AODA standards.
System Evolution: Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning to ensure solution scalability and reliability.
Quality Assurance: Lead the creation of technical artifacts, including architectural diagrams and service integration plans, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
Vendor Management: Oversee external vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables are met on time and within budget, adhering to Statements of Work (SOW).
Qualifications
Core Expertise: 10+ years of experience in technology architecture with advanced knowledge of IT security authentication and identity verification.
Identity Services: Demonstrated experience with SaaS solutions like Interac, IDVerse, or Onfido and cloud identity services such as Okta, Azure AD B2C, or Auth0.
Protocols: In-depth knowledge of OAuth2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading technical integrations for large-scale enterprise applications and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Methodology: Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Change, Release, and Problem Management) and standard SDLC frameworks.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to resolve complex technical challenges and perform impact assessments of issues.
Communication: Superior oral and written skills to present complex technical recommendations to non-technical senior executives.
