In this senior technical role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining high-visibility mobile banking solutions that connect millions of users to world-class financial services. Working within a dynamic, cross-platform Agile environment, you will take overall accountability for solution designs, native Android development, and technical code quality. Beyond hands-on development, you will act as a primary technical lead—coaching team members, conducting code reviews, estimating project efforts, and partnering with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to translate functional requirements into robust, secure, and scalable mobile architecture.
Duration: 4-Month Contract (Period: 08/10/2026 to 12/11/2026, with potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Currently 2 days per week on-site, 3 days work from home; eventually transitioning to 4 days on-site, 1 day work from home)
Anchor Days: Thursday (Mandatory Anchor Day) + 1 Flexible On-Site Day

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Design
End-to-End Solution Delivery: Take overall technical accountability for solution designs, system architecture specifications (SDS), and project deliverables in compliance with enterprise SDLC standards.
Architecture & Requirements Alignment: Partner closely with Solution Architects, Managers, and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs, effort estimates, and system requirements (SRS).
Code Reviews & Quality Governance: Conduct rigorous peer code reviews to enforce technical standards, reusability, maintainability, and security compliance across the mobile codebase.
Hands-On Development & Incident Support
Native Android Engineering: Design and build performant, modular native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Jetpack libraries.
Automated Testing & Integration: Implement comprehensive unit and UI automated test suites using JUnit, Robolectric, and Espresso to ensure maximum application reliability.
Incident Escalation Support: Provide senior-level technical support for escalated production incidents or outages, driving rapid root-cause resolution.
Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Coach and guide developers within your area of expertise, fostering a collaborative, continuous learning environment across onshore and offshore teams.
Qualifications
Android & Kotlin Experience: 5+ years of dedicated native mobile software development experience, with at least 3+ years specifically using Kotlin on the Android platform.
Jetpack Compose Mastery: Direct, hands-on development experience utilizing Jetpack Compose libraries for modern UI architecture.
Android Development Tooling: Expert-level command of Android development tools, including Android Studio, Gradle, Emulators, and Android SDK components.
Software Design Patterns: Solid background applying enterprise design patterns, specifically MVVM, MVP, and MVC.
Automated Mobile Testing: Hands-on experience writing unit and integration test suites using JUnit and platform testing frameworks (Robolectric, Espresso).
Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical problem-solving abilities; self-motivated lead who thrives multi-tasking in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Experience leading, mentoring, or guiding technical team members across distributed onshore/offshore delivery models.
Prior mobile development experience within the Financial Services, Fintech, or Banking sector.
Practical exposure to mobile monitoring, analytics, and quality tools (e.g., Dynatrace, SonarQube, Crashlytics).
