    Our client GKN Aerospace is looking for MRO Mechanics (Inspector) to work in their facility in Helmond for the first period of time until September 2022, and then relocate to the facility in Papendrecht to continue the work there.This is a long term position and it is very likely that a fixed contract is offered after the first year. GKN Fokker (part of GKN Aerospace) is active in the field of landing gear and related systems. This includes the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gear systems, but also the repair and reassembly of systems in use. With regard to Landing Gear, GKN Fokker is active for the F16 Fighter Aircraft, the Apache Combat helicopter, the F35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, the multi-purpose NH90 helicopter and the MQ-9 Reaper.As MRO Mechanic (Inspector) you are part of the MRO Organisation. The Maintenance Repair & Overhaul department is engaged in disassembling, cleaning, repairing, assembling, modifying, inspecting, testing, preparing and adjusting of partial and assembled aircraft parts. Duties:You take care of the dis- and assembly of aircraft parts and you test them independently. You also carry out interim and final inspections of parts and assemblies and, if necessary, you provide guidance during customer product sales.You are responsible for drawing up and checking deviation descriptions, you handle these and you decide within the authorisation frameworks on deviations and customer complaints.You work on the basis of Operations-, Component Maintenance Manuals, procedures and regulations, service bulletins, Blue Prints (component drawings) and instructions.You ensure proper recording of data in various documents and logbooks for accountability to customers and regulatory authorities.You are responsible for making the dispositions concerning repair parts and determine the routings of all assemblies. You also report quality deviations in the internal process in the quality information system.You actively contribute to improvements so that deviations can be prevented. Who are you?You are driven, precise, problem-solving, down-to-earth, and have excellent communication skills.You have an education in the field of aviation and several years of experience in aviation maintenance;You have "2 right hands"You have experience with inspection work on Landing Gears and/or other complex aircraft related components.Knowledge of the technical English language.You have excellent communication skills.Good basic knowledge of EASA Part 145, 14 CFR Part 145, AS9110 and AS9100 legislation and quality standard systems.Good basic knowledge of Office programs like Word & Excel.
