You will report to the Maintenance Manager whereby you will ensure that all mechanical equipment associated with both our Water and Wastewater assets are running safely and efficiently using both proactive and reactive maintenance methods.You will need to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant equipment. Using a Mobile App for work instructions and providing status updates you will follow a robust maintenance plan as well as getting involved in minor installation projects, mechanical fault finding and emergency breakdown repairs to ensure our plant operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.Working outside, with no one day being the same provides a very interesting working environment. You will be presented with unique challenges whether it's using your expertise to diagnose a fault or working with your team to prevent plant damage.You will be a fully mobile worker covering the Durham region, starting and finishing at home, maintaining our Water and Wastewater Treatment Works and pumping stations. This role boasts about its great, closely-knit team where you will never be short of support. You'll also provide technical advice, coupled with training support for apprentices.
