CFP operates single and multi-layer blown film extruders, as well as, two world-class wide web flexo presses that manufacture printed film for a diverse range of end consumer applications.  With a focus on sustainability and green initiatives, the plant continuously cultivates its safety program and strives for employee-driven improvements. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are currently looking for Machine Operators to become a part of our team working in either our Extrusion or Press departments.  We need people who care about the work they do, with a positive attitude, good attendance, quality-focused with strong attention to details. In extrusion you will operate single, and multilayer blown film extruders and use blenders, vacuum loading systems, roll carts, skid wrappers and core cuttersIn press you will operate gear and/or servo-based presses, work with inks for colour-matching, use core cutters, hand tools and pallet jacks to secure finished products on skidsWork as a team to follow production schedules, complete changeovers and meet production goalsPerform quality checks and report variances, ensure film sampling and follow quality standardsParticipate in scheduled equipment PM’s and troubleshoot machine operation issuesFollow established safety protocols , wear all PPE and report health & safety hazardsMaintain clean and safe conditions around equipment and surrounding work area All other duties as required by the supervisor QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent3+ years of machine operator experience requiredProficiency in reading, writing and basic math is a mustBasic computer skills for production data entryBe able to lift up to 50lbs and standing for extended period Available to work 12-hour monthly rotating shifts and some weekends WHY WORK AT CASCADES Starting wages $22+ depending on experienceExcellent company benefits package and RRSP planProfit Sharing Bonus twice a yearFree Uniforms & Safety Shoe AllowanceCareer Advancement Opportunities Cascades believes in the success of an inclusive organization that values diversity within its team.
