• Manages and participates in month-end closing procedures for the organization, including preparation, review and posting of account entries. Prepares and coordinates income and balance sheet statements, reconciliation of corporate general ledger accounts, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports
• Performs and reviews account analysis to understand how they relate to operating results and the balance sheet, identifying variances in financial statements
• Manages processes supporting financial reporting by collaborating with Accounting professionals to maintain the general ledger system. Directs and participates in the creation of queries, review of data and calculations, report generation, uploads, and troubleshooting problems. Prepares other monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior management
• Provides technical guidance to Accounting colleagues with regards to accounting issues
• Coordinates compliance with internal control requirements and external auditors. Coordinates the preparation and review of audit deliverables and ensures timely response to questions
• Ensures implementation of methods, systems and procedures that create consistency through the reporting cycle. Provides analysis of operating decisions and proposals to improve forecasts, projections, and operating decisions
• Responsible for performance management, development and engagement of team members.Grade Descriptor
• In-depth understanding of concepts and principles in own discipline and a good knowledge of these elements in related disciplines
• Provides management and guidance to professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex business or technical support teams
• Has accountability for the performance and results of a team or multiple related teams

• Provides input into budgets
