Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development: Design, code, and implement solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end, with a robust VBA back end.
Database Management: Manage SQL Server databases, specifically focusing on writing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures.
Automation: Develop and maintain advanced MS Access and MS Excel Macros to streamline business processes.
Integration: Utilize API methods to connect various systems and ensure seamless data flow.
Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
Presentation: Lead demos and presentations to describe the functionality and value of end products to non-technical and technical audiences.
Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and provide ongoing support for existing applications to meet established SLAs.
Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years specifically focused on code development and the SDLC.
Front-End Stack: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Back-End & Scripting: Strong expertise in VBA and creating complex Macros in MS Excel and MS Access.
Database Expertise: Expert-level SQL Server skills, including performance tuning and stored procedure development.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with API methods.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable presenting technical concepts clearly.
Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Agile Framework: Experience with Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
Industry Experience: Previous experience working within a bank or financial institution.
QA: Experience performing code reviews.
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification is considered a strong asset.
