- Manages a team of junior and intermediate professionals, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver on the development plan and deliver excellence, whilst providing performance management, technical development and coaching
- Leads regular code reviews, deployment activities and troubleshoots production issues with development team
- Supervises the design, development, testing, operation, delivery and maintenance of a suite of software solutions or infrastructure within an area to satisfy user requirements
- Coordinates software quality functions and monitors all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifies areas of improvement. Implements steps required to improve the process
- Drives a development culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high quality products with predictability and reliability by regularly monitoring team's quality metrics (e.g. defect rates), innovation metrics (e.g. prototypes developed) and predictability metrics (on-time delivery rates), and using this as input for feedback sessions and target setting
- Develops the identification of quality risks based on high level solution architecture and is accountable for product. Translates function policies into measurable team goals Grade Descriptor
- In-depth understanding of concepts and principles in own discipline and a good knowledge of these elements in related disciplines
