Work Hours: Seven (7) hours per day, five (5) days per week, during normal business hours.
Project Context: Working on the City of Toronto’s major business transformation of its financial system, driven by the implementation of SAP S4/HANA. The project is currently in the Deploy phase, involving modules like Project Systems (PS), Asset Accounting (AA), Finance and Controlling, and others.

Responsibilities
The consultant will join the hypercare team and provide support for the post go-live period, including:
- Support & Resolution: Provide support for triaging support tickets, troubleshooting, issue identification, and defect resolution.
- Prioritized Implementation: Support the PMO in implementing deferred post-go-live items, which involves:
Configuring S/4 with prioritized changes, validating functionality, and aligning with best practices for PS, AA, and Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO).
Developing functional specifications for development objects.
Reviewing/updating test scripts and test cases, execution, and sign-off.
Updating business process documentation and developing risk mitigation strategies.
Developing communication and training material.
- Collaboration: Work with the Business Process Lead and vendor lead on design, development, and configuration, including integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions.
- Analysis & Leadership: Analyze the City’s end-to-end PS, AA, and ARO processes to identify improvements using standard SAP functionality, and provide leadership related to business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, and data.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in large project/program management with Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
2. Expertise and experience in SAP S/4HANA modules; Project Systems, Asset Accounting and Asset Retirement Obligation, as well as knowledge of integration to SAP Finance, Controlling, Accounts Payable, Funds Management,
SAP Certification PS, and AA would be an asset;
a. Experience or Knowledge of any of the following functions will also be an asset; Asset Planning, Budgeting, Settlement, Close Out, Asset Account, Asset Retirement Obligation.
3. Extensive experience providing support during hypercare period of a project implementation and transitioning to sustainment
a. Experience in troubleshooting, problem resolution during post go-live period
4. Expertise in configuration of S/4 HANA modules PS, AA, ARO as well as understanding the integration to FICO, Materials Management.
5. Experience in delivering at least 2 end-to-end implementations. Implementation in a public sector environment with S/4HANA would be an asset.
6. Strong knowledge of test methodologies. Extensive experience with traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, tools across agile, waterfall, iterative methods and associated tools including PMBOK or SAP Activate Methodology.
7. Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager Change Request will also be an asset.
8. Ability to work in transformative programs.
9. Strong in process management and controls to minimize risks exposure.
10. Ability to lead efficient communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients.
11. Ability to achieve business objectives through influencing and effectively working with key stakeholders.
12. Excellent written & verbal communication skills (comfortable & confident communicating at all levels, including business partners, leadership and vendors).
13. Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
