Within this agency, the Safety, Environment and Regulation division leads policy, strategy, standards, advice and support across safety, environment, sustainability, asset management and regulatory outcomes for customers, for community and for our people. They wish to appoint a Quality and Risk Officer for a 12 month engagement. You will be responsible for implementing, administering and maintaining quality systems and operational risk management processes to meet the quality objectives of the Compliance Monitoring Section. Key accountabilities Ensure the effectiveness of the quality systems by undertaking maintenance, implementation and compliance activities in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and AS/NZS 9001 Standards.Assist in the implementation of best practice business initiatives by facilitating workshops, preparing documentation and providing expert advice relating to quality systems and operational risk management for the section.Ensure the effective and ongoing maintenance of the quality systems by conducting quality system audits in accordance with ISO 9001 to contribute to the development and implementation of the quality objectives, strategies and programs.Assist in proving the capability of the section with regards to management systems, quality and risk by developing and implementing training programs for branch staff.Contribute to the effective operational risk management processes in the section through the development and implementation of risk management methodologies and controls for compliance enforcement operational activities across the section in accordance with the requirements of AS/NZS 4360.You will have demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality management systems and continuous improvement programs.
