Responsibilities
Systems Design & Architecture: Lead the analysis and documentation of system architectures. Evaluate recommendations to ensure improvements are congruent with project objectives.
Data Modeling: Act as the subject matter expert in reverse engineering Physical Data Models to create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and comprehensive Metadata Reports.
SDLC Leadership: Direct technical aspects of projects through all SDLC stages, including planning, resource estimation, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
Requirements & Specifications: Lead JAD sessions and user interviews to gather requirements; translate complex business documents into detailed technical specifications.
Database Expertise: Lead development teams in supporting relational and multi-dimensional databases (including cubes, dimensions, and facts) for effective budgeting and forecasting applications.
Quality Assurance & Testing: Prepare Test Plans and Test Cases; execute and monitor unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Compliance & Security: Prepare architecture artifacts, including Threat, Risk, and Assessment (TRA) documents. Ensure all solutions meet AODA (WCAG 2.0 Level AA) and GO-IT standards.
Mentorship: Provide coaching and direction to junior analysts throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of Systems Analysis and Design experience, specifically within large, complex business environments.
Data Modeling Mastery: Expert-level knowledge in ERD creation, reverse engineering, and metadata reporting.
Technical Breadth: Demonstrated experience with system integration and the ability to pivot quickly to new technologies.
Business Analysis: 10+ years of experience in requirements elicitation (JAD facilitation, workshops) and UAT.
Accessibility: Hands-on experience with AODA compliance and WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards.
Public Sector Context: Knowledge of GO-IT Standards (GO-ITS) and Enterprise Architecture is highly preferred.
Methodologies: Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) and Information Management principles.
