The Operations Manager is primarily accountable for the day-to-day operations of production departments and performs a wide variety of duties in order to plan, organize and coordinate production departments and oversee several team leaders in supporting a safe and efficient operations. Include other disciplines as above.-Effectively manages team members to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out.-Oversee installations, services, and maintenance of all types of commercial HVAC Plumbing and Electrical equipment.-Manage all business units as identified inclusive of services, and maintenance projects to ensure that it is completed as per the quote, drawings, specifications, and budget.-Continuous improvement implementation including Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Post-Implementation reviews-Maintains current knowledge of operational risk and health & safety theories, best practices, approaches, and technologies for incorporation into safety management system elements.-Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders including key customers, primary vendors, and industry personnel.-Excellent financial acumen with a solid understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and forecasting practices.-Ensures that all operations achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency by enforcing performance standards and implementing process improvement and best practices.-Recruits and hires quality individuals who possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience.-Recommends and provides business cases for capital assets.-Facilitates the scheduling, management, and monitoring of technical and financial aspects of service projects.-Other duties and responsibilities as required.-Adhere to all company policies and procedures.-Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.-Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures. Qualifications-10+ years of experience in facilities maintenance and/or building operations.-Demonstrated capabilities regarding: leadership, accountability, judgement, decision-making, problem solving, independent action and cultural adaptability-Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills-A strong communicator both in written and verbal communication-Diploma/degree in HVAC program/mechanical or electric is an asset.-Proficiency with MS Office applications.-Diplomacy and ability to exercise independent judgement.-Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
