    Are you an experienced Environmental Manager or someone about to step up to this level? Do you have experience working on large civil engineering schemes? Looking for your next role then read on. My client are a tier one main contractor looking to add to their team for a project which is in its infancy. This is a chance to join a scheme early on and see it all the way from start to finish. You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing environmental systems for the scheme, reporting directly to the project director and and monitor compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 and other requirements. Other responsibilities of the role will include; * Considering environmental risks for the project and assessing these against the project programme as part of a wider risk review* Helping to develop robust and comprehensive mitigation measures to deal with environmental risks in collaboration with the production team.* Produce, review, update and evaluate the effectiveness of the Project Environmental Management Plan on a regular basis* Produce and communicate environmental risks, control measures and proceduresRequirementsYou should hold a relevant CSCS card for Environmental Manager and ideally will hold an Environmental Degree or equivalentIt is preferable that you are a member of MIEMA or PIEMA.Able to display previous experience in large infrastructure projects, and managing a range of associated environmental impacts under a 14001 EMS.Experience in pre-construction and construction phases of such schemes, obtaining and complying with DCO also useful but not essential.
